About Rhonda Nell
Dr. Rhonda Nell, OD, grew up in Denver, Colorado as the daughter of an optometrist. After graduating from optometry school, she began her optometry career as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1985 - 1990, becoming Chief of Optometry at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa Florida. From 1990-2001, she had two private practices in Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte, Florida.
In the spring of 2002, Dr. Nell made the decision to relocate to Phoenix, Arizona where she has been a full-time optometrist with Nationwide Vision since 2004.
In her free time, Dr. Nell enjoys hiking, golfing, and riding her outdoor recumbent bike with her husband. Along with a very spoiled cat, she has a stepdaughter in central Oregon and two amazing grandchildren.
